Where Dreams Begin, Reality Follows
Annette Lang studied product design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. She gained international experience early in her career, with positions in Paris, New York, and Milan – including at the renowned design studios of Matteo Thun, Antonio Citterio, and Sottsass Associati. In 1989, she founded her own studio in Wiesbaden.
Since then, she has been designing high-quality furniture and everyday objects such as beds, armchairs, sofas, and glassware – always with the goal of uniting functionality and aesthetics. Her design process begins with a vision: “Where dreams begin, reality follows. The design process is a search for the new, the innovative, the future.”
Annette Lang has received numerous awards, including the Red Dot Award, the iF Design Award, and the FORM Design Prize. She is a frequent juror at international design competitions and has exhibited her work around the world – from Milan to Melbourne, from São Paulo to Seoul.
