As a poet of form, Lucie Koldova has created an independent, intuitive design language. Light and glass are the main ingredients with which the furniture and lighting designer – who works primarily in Prague and Paris – conjures her atmospheric magic. Lucie Koldova represents a new generation of female designers who inimitably combine traditional artisanship, such as Bohemian glassblowing, with innovation and artistic expression. Once her sculptural light objects gained worldwide recognition, Lucie Koldova transferred her creative signature not only to the Nimbo furniture collection for the Bielefelder Werkstätten, but also, with passion and great pleasure, to textile surfaces as part of the ICONS designer collection.
